Day 2: Finding Strength in Scripture

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
— Psalm 119:105 (NIV)

In times of anxiety, we often seek ways to calm our racing minds and find peace. The Word of God is one of the most powerful sources of comfort and strength. The Scriptures are filled with verses reminding us of God's love, faithfulness, and promise to be with us in all circumstances.

When we read and meditate on God's Word, we are reminded of the truth that He is in control and His plans for us are good. Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." In times of darkness and uncertainty, God's Word provides guidance and clarity.

Find specific verses that speak to your heart in times of anxiety. Memorize them, write them on Post-it notes, or keep them in your phone's notes app. Repeat these verses to yourself whenever anxiety starts to creep in, and let the truth of God's promises dispel anxious thoughts.

Moreover, reading the Bible is an invitation to encounter the living God. Allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you through the Scriptures, comforting you, guiding you, and renewing your mind.

Pray: Lord, help me find strength in Your Word. May Your promises and teachings anchor my heart during times of anxiety. In Your Word, may I find peace and assurance that You are in control. Amen.
